Summer Vacation in the Ötztal Valley

Looking for a break from everyday life? Strap on your hiking shoes and head up the mountain. The world looks different from above, and the clear, fresh mountain air will rejuvenate you. If walking is too slow for you, hop on a bike and explore the Ötztal Valley on two wheels. There are wonderful cycling and mountain biking trails throughout the entire valley. For those seeking more adrenaline, test your limits on the downhill trails in the Bike Republic in Sölden. For our younger guests, there is an easy bike trail to explore in Umhausen.

Prefer a refreshing dip? Visit the swimming lake in Umhausen, but don't miss the highest waterfall in Tyrol, the Stuibenfall, beforehand. Afterward, you can cool off in the Kneipp facility. Need even more refreshment? You must see and experience the natural jewel Piburger See. If the weather doesn't cooperate, you can relax at the Aqua Dome, the thermal spa in Längenfeld.

Want to not just see but also feel the mountains and rocks? Then climb one of the many via ferratas or climbing routes in the area.

If all of that sounds too mundane, you should visit the Area 47 in Haiming/Ötztal Bahnhof. There are over 40 different sports and activities offered on land, in the water, and in the air.

Not always in the mood for sports? Follow in the footsteps of Ötzi at the Ötzi Village in Umhausen. Or watch the eagles and falcons soar at the Birds of Prey Park. If you want to learn more about the region, visit the Ötztal Heritage and Open-Air Museum, the Tower Museum, or the Nature Park House.

One thing is for sure, you won't be bored in the heart of the Ötztal Valley!
